“Butts” are great! “Buts” are not! While you can’t live without your “butt,” you are certainly better off without your “but.” Let me explain. I won’t spend much time telling you why your butt is important. I think it’s self-evident. I’m sitting on mine right now while I write this article. While butts are often underappreciated, when they aren’t working right, my patients certainly complain loudly. A healthy butt is a happy butt.
“Buts” are not healthy. I hear about “buts” all day. “Doc, I would exercise but..” I know I was supposed to take my medication, but . . .” “If only I hadn’t been drinking and driving, but …” Yes, the almighty “but” is everybody’s excuse for whatever they did or shouldn’t have done.
So, cover your butt by getting rid of your “buts!”
